Pawper-Towel Paluzza
Special Thanks to Mission
Possible Kids
The Mission Possible Kids from Plano’s Christ United Methodist Church collected 297 rolls of paper towels recently to donate to Operation Kindness and win our “Paw-per Towel Paluzza” contest. The 45 elementary-aged students collected more paper towels than any other youth group during the month-long contest, and each student received complimentary tickets to Hawaiian Falls Water Park. “At Operation Kindness, we go through almost 20,000 rolls of paper towels a year in caring for and cleaning up after the dogs and cats in our shelter,” said executive director Jonnie England. “By collecting so many towels for us, the Mission Possible Kids have saved us several hundred dollars that we can now spend directly on the animals.” The first-through-fifth grade members, or Agents, of Mission Possible Kids choose a different community project each month as a hands-on mission that instills a sense of giving in the youngsters. This was their first project for Operation Kindness. The Mission Possible Kids are under the leadership of executive director Kathy Meadows and director Jan Leach.
